NJ: After state Supreme Court ruling, few sex offenders likely get reprieve from Megan’s Law

A New Jersey Supreme Court ruling exempting certain sex offenders from Megan’s Law registration requirements isn’t likely to apply to more than a few dozen people, state officials said Wednesday, as the public defender’s office began contacting people who now may be eligible to be taken off the list. “Ninety-nine out of 100 of them don’t get off,” Kanka said in an interview. “They usually violate anyway. I don’t think this weakens (Megan’s Law).”
And Ninety-nine out of 100 people of his stature go on to commit or have already committed gross sexual offenses themselves.. Lie about me and I will lie about you.

Just listen to him. So much misguided and misdirected hatred towards us all because his wife’s contributory negligence and reckless endangerment. We’re all scapegoated for what happen to Megan, yet we had NOTHING to do with her abduction and subsequent murder.

You’re not fighting the good fight you think you are, Mr. Kanka.

You’re not even doing one ounce of good.

What you’re trying to prevent is not possible.

You’re not “saving” lives in your daughter’s memory.

You’re not even minimizing risk.

You’re not making a difference.

You’re not protecting the future and making the world a safer place for children.

This is your sad reality and hard truth.
